Our artists are eligible to monetize their tracks so once you become a client we’ll be able to share revenue with you.
Revenue comes from advertising on SoundCloud's web and mobile apps and as a JTV Digital artist, the revenue you receive is dependent on your contribution to the listening pool across all partners and monetized artists.
Revenue from ads on your tracks is broken down between 3 groups, the Master Recording Rights owner, the Publisher Rights owner and SoundCloud.
It’s up to you which tracks you choose to monetize on your profile, but you must own the recording rights for them. That means that any other tracks, such as a remix licensed to a label which you don’t own the rights to, can’t be monetized.
When you enable a track for monetization SoundCloud find a match using a service called Music Reports Inc. (MRI).
All of your available publishing information should be sent to MRI by JTV Digital and from here SoundCloud will work to match as many of your tracks as possible.
We issue your master recording rights payments once your account has accrued $300US, and apply our usual 10% sales commission.
